Informative video, but being myself I don't own a watch tool as such, so I just used a push pin and it did the job just as well in fact I had my watch together (being my first) before the video was over.

Just a FYI, needing a forked driver to remove strap pins is a complete myth, don't bother buying one (they wanted $11 CND at wal mart) or ordering one, all you need is a small flat head micro driver and sometimes pliers will help you take the pin out. That's it. Don't be fooled into ordering a needless tool.

I got lucky and put the spring right in as I started to watch this. I used a small flat knife. Put one end of spring in then used flat knife to push in spring on opposite end. The spring aligned up with hole and snapped into place. Two seconds. But I've tinkered with them in the past. Can get frustrating

Or you can do it like me, without any tools. It took me 3 hours and a bleeding nail, worth it !

I used these instructions to change the watchband on my smartwatch today. Some of the instructions were kind of obvious, but it was helpful to watch the process.
I've always thought of this sort of like putting a toilet paper dowel in the dispenser on the wall. 🙂
